A few months ago on a random day in SM Manila, we saw this interesting looking cafe with gorgeous interiors (the lighting and one hot pink chandelier especially caught my eye) so we stopped by after lunch for a cup of coffee.
This is Amor Bakery, which has been “sbreading” their love (that’s their own coined term) for a few years already and they have several branches opened in Manila, Quezon City, etc. Their Katipunan branch in QC is probably their biggest, spanning a whole building and two floors. However, it was my first time to visit this bakery and branch so I was immediately enamored with the gorgeous yet cozy surroundings. It’s probably everything I adore in a quaint coffee shop!
This huge wall of books was another part of the cafe which caught my interest. Look at all those shelves!
The place exuded a luxuriously chic and posh atmosphere down to their furnishings and fixtures.
I would spend many happy hours here just curled up with several books. Ahh heaven!
I love those colorful and intricately designed lamps!
Teapots and pastel teddy bears adorned various nooks and crannies, some offering sweets and cookies to delight the palate.
Their sweet breads look really adorable too! There were a bunch of cute ones which I wanted to try but I had to watch my sugar.
This is their Crown Chocolate Charcoal, which is a pon de ring shaped bread with chocolate chips mixed in and dusted with powdered sugar. I decided to buy one since I want to try desserts made with activated charcoal, plus just for the novelty of eating black bread lol. I cannot help my Gothic side.
Amor Bakery also custom designs cakes for every occasion.
There are also various flavors of cupcakes and cheesecakes among other sweets.

Pokemon Go was popular during this time, so they also have a line of custom made Pokemon character cakes.
Their cakes are quite beautiful!
I ordered a Cappuccino along with my charcoal bread. Their menu also offers milk tea, frappes, fruit juices and a variety of savory snacks and meals.

Crown Chocolate Charcoal – 59 php
I was so happy that it wasn’t very sweet! The bread was fluffy and chewy inside with a nice gooey texture from the chocolate bits. It’s become one of my favorite breads in the Philippines. Now I’m always craving for it whenever I think about Amor Bakery and I always ask it as a gift to be taken home for me when someone makes a trip to SM Manila lol.
